CLEVELAND – The
National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and its corporate sponsor
Allstate today announced the members of the Allstate NACDA Good Works Team Selection Committee.
The Allstate NACDA Good Works Team is a new initiative created to recognize and honor student-athletes who demonstrate levels of volunteerism and civic engagement that are above and beyond their success and achievements in the classroom and competition.
"The Allstate NACDA Good Works Team Selection Committee members all have a valuable presence within intercollegiate athletics with an eye on our industry's involvement in the corporate and community sectors," said NACDA Chief Executive Officer
Pat Manak. "Their diverse backgrounds and perspectives will greatly assist and enhance our efforts to shine a light on the outstanding efforts of student-athletes outside of their sport."
The NACDA representatives serving on the Allstate NACDA Good Works Team Selection Committee are:
- Ross Bjork, Senior Vice President and Wolfe Foundation-Eugene Smith Endowed Athletics Director, The Ohio State University, NACDA President
- Dan Guerrero, Retired Director of Athletics, UCLA, NACDA Past President
- Brian Henderson, Athletics Director/Assistant VP of Student Engagement and Inclusion, Patrick & Henry Community College, NACDA Executive Committee, NATYCAA 1st Vice President
- Reagan Rossi, Vice President of Athletics, College of Idaho, NACDA Executive Committee, NAIA-ADA President
- Etienne Thomas, Director of Athletics, Winston-Salem State University, NACDA Executive Committee, D2 ADA Board of Directors
- Natalie Winkelfoos, Associate Vice President for Athletics Advancement and Delta Lodge Director of Athletics & Physical Education, Oberlin College, NACDA Executive Committee
Joining these individuals on the Selection Committee are former University of Texas and NFL linebacker
Sam Acho and ESPN reporter play-by-play commentator
Holly Rowe, as well as a representative from Allstate.
The nomination process for the inaugural Allstate NACDA Good Works Team (Winter) is currently open. Institutions from all divisions (NCAA Divisions I, II, III, NAIA and Junior/Community Colleges) are permitted to submit up to one male and one female candidate for each winter sport sponsored by their department. Student-athlete nominees should be currently competing in a winter sport and have completed a minimum of one year (two semesters) of college level work at a two-year and/or four-year institution. click here) by the deadline of Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at 8 p.m. EST.
The Allstate NACDA Good Works Team (Winter) will honor a total of 20 student-athletes (10 male and 10 female) across all sports and all divisions, who make outstanding contributions in the community. These individuals embody the true spirit of teamwork and giving back through commendable acts of philanthropy. This nomination and selection process will be repeated for the Spring 2025 and Fall 2025 teams.
