ICLA Announces 2024-25 Officers and Board of Directors

CLEVELAND – The International Collegiate Licensing Association (ICLA) is proud to announce Clarence Chiong, director of trademark licensing at Fresno State, as President for the 2024-25 membership year.

"It is a surreal and humbling honor to reflect on my journey toward becoming the next ICLA president the past four years," said Chiong. "Out of respect and reverence to those who served before me, I have the utmost appreciation for their contributions to the growth and success of our association. I look forward to working with our Board of Directors to build on the legacy of our past leaders as we continue to navigate through the dynamic collegiate licensing landscape. Education, sharing, networking, and engagement are a few attributes that come to mind when I think of ICLA. With this mindset, we aim to continue to develop and deliver innovative programming as well as provide professional development opportunities that better prepare ICLA members to be successful in the industry."

Chiong takes the reins from Dexter LaMont, assistant vice president at Florida Atlantic University, who will transition to Past President. Serving alongside Chiong will be: 1st Vice President, Kimberly Spino, director of licensing and trademarks at Indiana University; 2nd Vice President Shelly Terry, director, trademarks and licensing at Duke University; and 3rd Vice President Richard Fairchild, associate director for auxiliary business development at the University of Utah.

In addition to the 2024-25 Officers, the ICLA Board of Directors will assist in the development and advancement of the Association. The 2024-25 Board of Directors will consist of: Erika Austin, licensing director at Michigan State University; Michael Demarco, director of brand and licensing at at The Northwest Group; Priya Exantus, manager of trademark licensing at Towson University; Jason Harbison; assistant director of trademark licensing at Auburn University; Jared Harding, vice president at Trevco and Kamesha Hill, director of auxiliary enterprises at Jackson State University. ICLA also welcomes Jenn Miller, assistant director of retail, marketing and licensing at West Virginia University; Kyle Pope, executive director, collegiate licensing and brand development at Texas A&M University; Evelin Simmons; director of UMass system trademark and licensing administration; and Joe Stefani; president at Desert Cactus.
