Bemidji State's Albrecht Named D2CIDA Men's Basketball Division II Player of the Week

AUGUSTA, GA -- Bemidji State University's (Minnesota) Dalton Albrecht has been named the men's basketball Division II Player of the Week by the D2CIDA. The senior forward from Grafton, N.D., averaged 28.5 points and 10.5 rebounds in a pair of wins for the Beavers.

Albrecht opened with 26 points on 10-for-16 shooting and nine rebounds in an 86-70 win over Northern State. He followed that with a career-high 31 points on 13-for-15 shooting, including 5-of-6 3-pointers, with 12 rebounds against Minnesota Crookston. For the week, he shot .742 (23-of-31) from the field, .615 (8-of-13) from long range and hit all three of his free throw attempts. He added 1.5 assists and 1.0 blocks per game.

Albrecht currently leads the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) and is 13th in NCAA Division II in rebounding. He is also 10th in the conference in scoring and fifth in field goal percentage.
