AUGUSTA, GA -- Eckerd College (Florida) senior Lauryn Vieira has been named the Women's Basketball Division II Player of the Week by the D2CIDA. The guard tied the Sunshine State Conference (SSC) single-game scoring record with 43 points in a win over Lynn and averaged 29 points per game in two outings last week.

From Haute-Savoie, France, Vieira hit 16-of-22 shots from the field, 4-of-6 3-point attempts and 7-of-8 free throws in her 43-point barrage. She added eight assists, five steals and five rebounds on the night.
