AUGUSTA, GA -- Nala Williams of Cal State Dominguez Hills has been named the Division II Women's Basketball Player of the Week by the D2CIDA. The sophomore guard from Long Beach, Ca., scored a career-high 27 points in leading the Toros to an 81-60 win over Cal State LA.
Williams hit 11-of-24 shots from the floor and three 3-pointers to go with 11 rebounds, tying a career best. She missed a triple-double by only two steals as she had eight in the game, the most in a single game in the CCAA this season. The double-double is the third of her career. She also had four assists and a block in the game.
Williams leads the team with 16.3 points per game and 4.0 assists per game and is second in rebounding with seven per game.
