AUGUSTA, GA -- Arkansas Tech's Jalei Oglesby has been named the Women's Basketball Division II Player of the Week by the D2CIDA. The sophomore guard from Howe, Okla., averaged 28.5 points and 15.5 rebounds per game to close out the regular season as the Golden Suns earned the No. 4 seed for the GAC Tournament.
She opened with 23 points on 10-for-19 shooting with 14 rebounds in a loss at Henderson State. She followed that by equaling her career high with 34 points on 15-for-25 shooting and a career-best 17 rebounds in a win over Southern Arkansas. For the week she hit 57 percent from the field and added 1.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game.
Oglesby currently leads the GAC and is ranked 12th in NCAA Division II in scoring at 21.0 points per game. She is also second in the conference in rebounding and fourth in field goal percentage.
