AUGUSTA, GA -- Kentucky Wesleyan College (KWC) senior forward Corina Conley has been named the Division II Women's Basketball Player of the Week by the D2CIDA. The native of Englewood, Ohio, led the Panthers to a pair of wins, including the conference opener, with 20.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game.
Conley scored a career-high 26 points with 13 rebounds against Illinois-Springfield, then scored 15 points with eight boards and four steals in the GMAC conference opener against Findlay. For the week, she shot 57 percent from the field and added 3.0 steals and 1.0 blocks per game. She hit 4-of-5 3-point attempts and shot 81 percent from the free throw line.
Conley is currently third in the conference in scoring and sixth in rebounding. She is also sixth in field goal percentage, 10th in free throw percentage and eighth in steals.
