AUGUSTA, GA -- Brooke Littrell of University of Central Missouri (UCM) has been named the Division II Women's Basketball Player of the Week by the D2CIDA. The junior forward from Green City, Mo., led the Jennies to a pair of wins last week, averaging a double-double with 30 points and 10.5 rebounds per game.
The reigning MIAA Player of the Year scored 31 points on 10-for-15 shooting and 10-for-10 free throws in a win over Barry with 10 rebounds, then scored 29 points with 11 boards in a win over Lynn. For the week, she shot 58 percent from the field, 91 percent (21-of-23) from the free throw line and added 1.5 assists per game.
Littrell has four double-doubles in her five games played this season and is currently tied for first in NCAA Division II in that category. She is also fourth in the nation in scoring with 22.4 points per game and third in the MIAA in rebounding.
