Networking and professional development are two foundational pillars for growth in intercollegiate athletics. As leaders in this industry, theÂ
NAATSO Board aims to develop ticket sales and operations leaders in ticket offices across the country. It is NAATSO's hope that its Mentorship Program will serve as an important resource to accomplish this goal.
Goals of the Mentorship Program:
- To help develop industry leaders in both ticket sales and ticket operations
- Continue to add personal growth opportunities to the NAATSO membership
- Share ticketing strategies and best practices to continue to grow the ticketing industry
- Participants will gain knowledge of NAATSO and the positive impact it can make with the connections that are cultivated by giving back to the ticketing community
- Develop long-term friendships and expand networking opportunities
Mentoring Program MENTEE Candidates Must:
- Be a current 2023-24Â paid member of NAATSO and show a commitment to a career in the collegiate athletics ticketing industry
- Have a job description that involves either ticket sales or ticket operations
- Attend the annual NAATSO Convention June 9-12, 2024
- Agree to actively participate in the Association throughout the year and support its initiatives
- This could include contributing an article for the NAATSO corner in NACDA's Athletics Administration magazine, posting on the NAATSO Community monthly, or serving on a committee
- Be willing to participate in bi-monthly mentorship calls with their mentor
Selected Mentees Will Receive:
- A stipend that will cover:
- The cost of registration for the 2024 NAATSO Convention
- Up to $1,000 to be used to offset the cost of lodging (room and tax only), airfare and/or other travel expenses to be reimbursed by the Association after the Convention
- Stipend recipients are responsible for securing their own hotel room & travel accommodations
- A certificate recognizing their participation and completion of the NAATSO Mentoring Program
Selection Criteria for Mentees:
- Mentees must have five (5) years or less of full-time experience
- Interns and graduate assistants ARE eligible for the program
- Up to 10 mentee recipients may be selected each year
- Mentee applicants may only participate in the program once
- Only one (1) member per institution will be permitted to participate annually
Selection Criteria for Mentors:
- Mentors will be approved by current Board of Directors members and will be NAATSO members who have established themselves as industry leaders
- Mentors must have 4+ years of sport ticket sales or operations experience. To apply, CLICK HERE.
