AUGUSTA, GA -- Ashley Alter of Seattle Pacific University was named the Division II Women's Basketball Player of the Week by the D2CIDA. The senior from Stanwood, Wash., guided the Falcons to a pair of wins last week, averaging 24 points and 11.5 rebounds per game.
She opened with 17 points and a career-high 14 rebounds in a win over Northwest Nazarene and followed that with a career-high 31 points and nine rebounds as Seattle Pacific handed Central Washington only its second loss of the season, 70-63. For the week, she hit 50 percent (8-for-16) of her 3-point attempts and added 3.5 steals, 2.0 assists and 1.0 blocks per game.
Alter is currently ranked seventh in the GNAC in scoring and 11th in rebounding.
