East Stroudsburg's Pepin Named D2CIDA Division II Men's Basketball Player of the Week

AUGUSTA, GA -- East Stroudsburg University graduate student forward Carlos Pepin was named the Division II Men's Basketball Player of the Week by the D2CIDA. Pepin guided the 19th-ranked Warriors to a pair of league wins last week, averaging 27.5 points and 12.0 rebounds per game.

The Lodi, N.J., native opened up with a career-high 37 points against Shippensburg, hitting 14-of-17 shots from the floor to go with 14 rebounds. He followed that up with 18 points and 10 rebounds against Mansfield, going 7-for-7 from the field. For the week he shot 87.5 percent (21-of-24) from the field, hit 2-of-3 3-pointers and added 2.0 steals and 1.5 assists per game.

Pepin is currently ranked second in the PSAC in scoring at 19.4 points per game and is third in the league in rebounding at 10.2 per outing. He is also third in field goal percentage. Nationally, he ranks third in Division II in offensive rebounds per game and is ninth in double-doubles.
