AUGUSTA, GA -- Erik Timko of Thomas Jefferson University has been named the D2CIDA Division II Men's Basketball Player of the Week for November 28-December 4. The sophomore guard from Audobon, Pa., averaged 34 points per game in two wins for the Rams, shooting 74 percent from the field.
He opened with a career-high 35 points in a win over Chestnut Hill, hitting 14-of-16 field goals and 7-of-8 3-pointers. He followed that with 33 points on 9-for-15 shooting and 5-of-8 from long range against Lincoln (Pa.). For the week, he shot 75 percent from 3-point range, adding 3.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game.
Timko currently leads the CACC and is ranked 15th nationally in scoring at 21.9 points per game. He also leads the conference in 3-pointers made.
The Division II Player of the Week is selected by the Division II Conference Information Directors Association (D2CIDA).
