AUGUSTA, GA -- Sage Hawley of Harding University has been named the D2CIDA Division II Women's Basketball Player of the Week for November 28-December 4. The junior center from Memphis, Tenn., broke a 25-year-old school record when she scored 43 points in a 105-103 overtime win against Southern Arkansas, hitting 21-of-31 field goals. She set school records for scoring, field goals made and attempted in the win. The 43 points is also the second-most in a single game in NCAA Division II this season.
In two games, she averaged 28.0 points per game and 11.0 rebounds per game, shooting 65 percent from the field. She began her week in the conference opener against Ouachita Baptist, scoring 13 points with seven rebounds and four blocked shots.
Hawley is currently ranked fourth in the GAC in scoring and leads the conference in rebounding, is second in field goal percentage and fifth in blocks.
The Division II Player of the Week is selected by the Division II Conference Information Directors Association (D2CIDA).
