AUGUSTA, GA -- East Stroudsburg University's Ryan Weise has been named the first D2CIDA Division II Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the 2022-23 season. The graduate student guard from Allentown, N.J., averaged 30.5 points, 11.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 4.5 steals and 1.5 blocks as the Warriors opened 2-0.

She hit 17-of-20 shots from the floor (.800) and 12-of-15 from 3-point range (.833). She opened with 31 points and 12 rebounds against Virginia Union, then set the program record for made 3-pointers in the second game against Shaw, hitting eight as she scored 30 to go with 11 rebounds.

Weise currently leads NCAA Division II in made 3-pointers and is second in scoring, fourth in field goal percentage and eighth in steals. 

The Division II Player of the Week is selected by the Division II Conference Information Directors Association (D2CIDA).
