N4A Launches 2020 Professional Development Institute

CLEVELAND – The National Association of Academic and Student-Athlete Development Professionals (N4A) is excited to launch the 16th Annual Steve McDonnell Professional Development Institute (PDI).

All five tracks of the 2020 PDI will be held from November 8-10 in Kansas City, Missouri.
 
Named after the program's founder, the Steve McDonnell PDI's mission is to create and maintain a learning community that transmits, creates, and preserves the knowledge that defines the profession. After completion of the program, PDI continues to educate its graduates as it is designed to provide continuous professional development.

2. New Practitioner
3. Learning Specialist 
4. HBCU Professionals
5. Student-Athlete Development

To ensure that the 2020 PDI is a success, all meals and program materials will be provided. In addition, recognized faculty from higher education and athletics communities will be present, and education will be continued in the form of mentoring and distance learning. If selected, the enrollee or his/her institution will be responsible for travel and lodging costs associated with the 2 ½ day workshop.
 
If you are interested in applying for PDI, please complete ALL of the following by Friday, April 17th:

  • Complete 2020 PDI Application Form
  • Provide a current resume
  • Provide a Letter of Recommendation/Nomination from your current supervisor/director
  • Provide a one-page personal statement (350-word maximum) explaining why being a participant in the N4A PDI is significant to you. Specifically, how you feel your participation in PDI will support your professional aspirations.
  • The cost of the PDI programming is $275
