ICLA Committees

In alignment with the ICLA strategic plan, the following will be accomplished through board and committee work. The following objectives will be the focus and responsibility of the ICLA Board of Directors and each respective committee.

Awards: To recognize outstanding collegiate programs, industry leaders, and best practices in the collegiate licensing industry through the Synergy Award, Service Award and Hall of Fame Award. This committee will also provide professionals who desire to excel in collegiate licensing, opportunities to attend ICLA educational programming through the Membership Initiative Stipend Programs. Convention Planning: To plan the ICLA Summer Convention through developing educational programming and networking opportunities.   ICLA Convention is to take place in conjunction with the NACDA and Affiliates Convention week.

Convention Veterans Workshop Planning: To plan specific programming for Veteran members at the ICLA Summer Convention. ICLA Convention is to take place in conjunction with the NACDA and Affiliates Convention week.

Education - Benchmarking: This committee will only be active in years that the Benchmark Survey is being run, or if other research-based initiatives arise.

Education - Licensing Resource Book: To provide members with reliable tools (i.e. The Licensing Resource Book) and a starting document for those who are looking to start a licensing program or revamp their existing licensing program.

Education - Webinars/Zoom: To plan a minimum of two (2) to three (3) ICLA webinars that will take place throughout the year. To provide an accurate picture of the collegiate licensing industry in an easy to follow report. Organize and plan ICLA membership Zoom sessions to allow for the membership to engage and interact in live discussion.

Leadership - Association Administration: Responsible for the upkeep of ICLA Committees and any other administrative objectives put forward by the Board of Directors.

Membership Development: The objectives are to increase membership and active participation among unrepresented conferences, institutions, and licensees. Educate new members and renewed members on upcoming year-round programming and other benefits.

Sponsorship: To create and maintain long term relationships which generate value in terms of cash and trade for ICLA and its membership as well as our current and prospective sponsors.

Strategic Communications: Effectively promote ICLA events, initiatives and deadlines to the ICLA membership. In addition, the strategic communications chair will be focused on provide the ICLA membership opportunities to share information and best practices year-round in an effort to support and educate each other.
